Zig’s studio in Arlington, Texas has been around since ‘07. We’ve been going by the name of Grey House Studio - same name as the Nashville studio, and sometimes we’ve gone by Zig Productions - the production company listed in the Texas Governor’s Music website.

Zig has produced 3 or 4 CD projects over each of the last few years in Texas, including Jordan Mycoskie, King Cone, Charis Thorenson, the Professional Nobodies, and Eric Day who have gotten airplay on Texas radio and charted on the Texas Music charts. About Zig - Zig is originally from Ft. Worth, Texas. He owned Abalone Studio from 1982-1988, produced demos, jingles, and custom record projects and played in bands in the DFW area.

Zig wrote “Right From The Start,” a #1 country hit for Earl Thomas Conley (RCA) which was also used in the movie “Roadhouse”. He moved to Nashville in ‘89 where he was a staff writer for Sony/Tree, Music Daily -Warner/Chappell and played on hundreds of demo sessions.

In ‘96, Zig started Grey House Studio in Nashville with songwriter Anderson Page. Through the years in Nashville Zig engineered and produced demos for many writers and publishers as well as demos and masters for several major labels.

At Grey House in Nashville Zig has done work for Capitol, Atlantic, MCA, Sony, Warner Bros., Warner-Chappell, BMG, RCA, Asylum, Arista, Universal, Famous, EMI, Almo-Irving, Polygram, Blue Water, High Seas, Hamstein, Curb, Sony/ATV, and many others.
